Western Drama Festival 75th Year, Three-Act Festival

Please note that one performance (Brideview Drama, Saturday 3rd March) has been rescheduled due to adverse weather. This performance (Brideview Drama, Stolen Child) will now take place on Sunday11th March. There will be no performance on Saturday 3rd March.
The opening performance (Friday 2nd March) will go ahead as scheduled.

Adjudicator: Mr Michael O'Hara
Michael has been adjudicating in the drama circuit for at least 25 years all over Ireland and Scotland. Among the major festivals he has adjudicated have been the Ulster One Act Finals, the All-Ireland Confined Finals, the RTE All Ireland Drama Festival Finals, the All Ireland One Act Finals and the Scottish One Act Finals.Michael’s interest in drama was sparked at College in Belfast where he was heavily involved in plays, revues and acting with drama groups in and around Belfast. He went on to teach drama and theatre at the highest levels in schools, colleges and universities in Coleraine, Belfast, Limerick and in Northern Nigeria for more than 40 years until his retirement in 2004. During his extensive career, he was also involved in the training of teachers of English, drama and theatre. He is a Licentiate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and a Licentiate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, London. This will be Michael's second visit to the Western Drama Festival, Tubbercurry having previously adjudicated the three-act festival in 1997. Michael is very much looking forward to this historical festival. During his stay he intends to play some golf and challenge a few of the locals.
